Exhibition : 'Répliques' (Replicas) by Hervé Beurel
At the Diapason, Avenue du Pr. Charles Foulon, Rennes.
Part of 'Cimaise/Effraction Days' to promote the university's artistic heritage, and cemebrate the 60th anniversary of the '1% Artistique' movement.
This project consists of installing a group of stands in the Diapason exhibition centre, each with a television screen on top. Each monitor displays a static image of one of the seven monumental sculptures erected between 1967 and 1976 by '1% Artistique' during the construction of the Beaulieu Campus. The shape of each stand is almost the same as that of the pedestals of the seven sculptures on the Campus.
