Not only a zoo...a château too !
Offer available : april - september 2011
The Zoo de la Bourbansais and its château are a great family destination, halfway between Rennes and Saint-Malo. Originally built in the 16th century on the site of an ancient Gallo-Roman villa and updated during the 16th century, La Bourbansais is one of the finest grand châteaux of Brittany. The immense park has a wooded area of 4000 m² bordered by a pretty stream where you can watch and get close to unusual animals, large birds of prey and big cats. Some, including lemurs, anteaters and monkeys are in semi-captivity. There is also a horse and hound show with a pack of over 60 dogs and a bird of prey display, plus a botanical trail through the beautiful gardens.
