Le site des Corbinières
The Vilaine Valley is a vital historical and geographical corridor in the département. It carved out the landscape we see today several million years ago and covers a distance of 93 miles (150 km) in Ille-et-Vilaine with a width ranging from a few hundred yards to several miles. The main features of the landscape are the steep hillsides, often carpeted with trees, and the cliffs that give the valley its natural, untamed scenery. This is a magnificent, rugged beauty spot with a large number of shady footpaths.
